The Bumblebee Class

The Bumblebee class is for children who are 4 years old by the first of September. This Pre-K class is designed to prepare children for Kindergarten! The mornings, from 8:30 - 10:30, are structured with everything centered around preparing for Kindergarten. The children participate in a Teaching Circle where they are introduced to different topics such as Dinosaurs, Transportation, Fire Safety, Holidays, Seasons, Community Helpers, Bible Stories, and many others. They are also introduced to things like: Days of the Week, Letters, Numbers, Colors, Shapes, and Sequencing. They then go to learning centers where they do crafts, writing practice, manipulatives, and scissor practice. After the Teaching Time the children enjoy free play either outside or in "Big" Centers where they can let their imagination run wild! This is a fun class that is very busy. We're always having an activity, field trip or party that goes along with the curriculum. Each May we have a Pre-K graduation for those going to Kindergarten. This is a special time for the children, parents, and grandparents!
